The Annual CRIRSCO meeting took place as a virtual event during the week of 11 October 2021, due to the pandemic and the travel restrictions. Each of the 14 NROs and 8 potential NROs had their own travel regulations which needed to be considered.

The agenda included updates from all 14 of the National Reporting Organisations. Notable is that a significant amount of training is being undertaken internationally. A Code revision has been undertaken by PERC and is being undertaken by JORC. CRIRSCO was able to participate in the PDAC Conference in March when it hosted a panel discussion on the relevance of the CRIRSCO Codes. ESG continues to be an important point of discission. No formal approach has been determined although a sub-committee has been appointed to look at the details and implications for CRIRSCO.

China and the Philippines are very close to being accepted as new members. Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan and various countries in West Africa are all working towards membership.
The ICMM presented to the meeting emphasising the importance they attach to transparent mineral reporting. CRIRSCO has concluded a new 3-year MOU with ICMM which continues the long-standing relationship with ICMM pledging financial support that ensures the work of CRISCO can continue.

A new Executive was elected.

Deputy Chairperson: Garth Kirkham (CIM - Canada)
Treasurer: Peter Stoker (JORC - Australasia)
Secretary: Wilfredo Lopez (CCRR - Columbia)
Past Chairperson: Ken Lomberg (SAMREC – South Africa)
